And for the solution we use here on the ETCCN platform i used the “(BuddyPress) Log In” widget. To use this widget you have to have the BuddyPress plugin installed, and then simply add the widget to the sidebar wherever you want it. Thats all. See images for more info.

The second option is to add a widget to the sidebar. Depending on witch plugins are installed you may have different widgets to chose from. Every WordPress installation comes with the “Meta” widget. By simply adding this widget to the sidebar it displays a list of links that solve this issue as seen in the image bellow.
